Woman, 4 couriers yield P2M drugs

NEARLY P2 million worth of illegal drugs were seized from a suspected 21-year old female drug supplier and her four couriers in a series of buy-bust operation conducted by Marikina Police Station Drug Enforcement Unit the other day.

PCol.Restituto Arcanghel, Marikina Police chief, said suspect identified as  Noralyn Bundas, 21, native of Marawi City and  resident of Blk 43 Singkamas st Bgy. Tumana, Marikina City was nabbed more than 12 hours after her four couriers were arrested in Marikina City.

Police said Bundas as allegedly the source of illegal drugs was about to transact for another drug deal at the area when authorities conducted a follow-up operation.

Archanghel said, Bundas was busted by teams of Marikina Police Station Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU) headed by Lieutenant Elmer Rigonan in a  follow-up anti-drug operation infront of a hamburger food chain in Bgy San Isidro, Cainta, Rizal after she was caught red-handed for selling 8 heat sealed transparent sachets of suspected illegal drugs to a policeman who posed as buyer at around 1:40 p.m. Saturday.

Recovered from her were additional 205 grams of suspected shabu with an estimated street value of P1.394,000 and P6,000 marked money used in the operation.

According to Archanghel, Bundas was named by her four drug couriers identified as  Edvergel Luna ,alias Totong, 38, of Bgy Concepcion 1 Marikina City; Joyce Ann Pascual , 20, of Bgy San Roque;  Eduardo Javier, 26 of Bgy Barangka and  Ronald Jaso Jaso, 26, of Bgy. Malanday all in Marikina City as their sources which reportedly distributed in Marikina City and Rizal leading to a follow-up operation for her arrest.
