A 23-year-old woman committed suicide by drinking silver cleaner after a quarrel with her live-in partner Thursday afternoon in Malabon City.
Malabon police chief Senior Supt. Jessie Tamayao said the lifeless body of Hazel Grace Abarquez was discovered by his cousin Ken Alamo on the roof deck of their house at 38 Malian St. Brgy. San Agustin.
Alamo told police that his cousin was last seen alive at around 2 p.m. when the latter asked him to give to her the silver nitrate he kept. When Alamo refused, the victim left their house and told him she will buy a silver cleaner for her own use.
At around 5:20 p.m., Alamo went up to the roof deck of their house to get some clothes but when he opened the door, he was surprised to see the lifeless body of his cousin, prompting him to inform other members of the family.
Malabon police homicide investigators SPO1 Jherico Pascual and PO2 Joenel Claro said that earlier, the victim had a quarrel with her live-in partner, based on their exchange of messages which were retrieved from her cellular phone.
