POLICE are now conducting a background check of a woman who was found dead with multiple gunshot wounds in the body Sunday evening in Navotas City.
Navotas police chief P/Col. Rolando Balasabas said the body of the victim, identified through an Identification Card (ID) found on her waistline as Annaliza Villegas, was discovered by local traffic enforcer of Navotas Traffic and Management Office at around 10:50 p.m. sprawled bloodied along Marala Bridge in North Bay Boulevard, Bgy. NBBS-Proper, steps away from Manila boundary.
Investigation conducted by P/Cpl. Paul Roma of Navotas police homicide section showed that the victim, about 40 to 45 years old, wearing blue t-shirt, floral pants and slippers, sustained multiple gunshot wounds in the body.
Elements of the Scene of the Crime Operatives (SOCO) found four empty shells from the crime scene which will be submitted to Northern Police District (NPD) Crime Laboratory for ballistic examination.
