A 19-year-old woman suspected to be a member of a kidnapping syndicate was arrested after she tried to abduct a 5-year-old boy yesterday in Parañaque City.
Parañaque police chief Col. Rogelio Rosales said Princess Jana Estabillo of Lambaking Dulo, Biatya, Marilao, Bulacan will be charged with attempted kidnapping following her arrest at the corner of Pinaglabanan St. and Rita Extension, Bgy. Baclaran.
Investigation showed that at around 6:30 a.m., while the victim, a kindergarten student, was playing with two others outside their house at 1706 Espiritu St., Bgy. Baclaran, the suspect approached the victim and forcibly held the boy in the arm and asked him to go with her in the comfort room.
Bystanders in the area were able to recognize the boy while being grabbed in the arm by the suspect prompting them to accost the woman and then reported the incident to Parañaque Police Community Precinct (PCP) 1.
Police placed Estabillo under arrest after she failed to prove that she was the guardian of the victim.
Estabillo allegedly admitted to the police that she tried to abduct the boy to force him to sell shabu and sampaguita in her hometown in Bulacan.
