Woman yields P1M shabu in Port Area

A WOMAN  was arrested with P1 million worth of shabu during a buy-bust operation the other day in Port Area, Manila.

Manila Police District Director PBGen. Rolando Miranda identified the suspect as Normina Kamsa, alias ‘Nur’, 29, of Block 9, Baseco Compound, Port Area, Manila.  She is said to be in the drug watchlist of the MPD.

It was learned that the drug operation was conducted at around 2 a.m. on Sunday at Block 15 Baseco Compound, Port Area.  A police asset posed as a buyer and was able to purchase a sachet of shabu.

On a pre-arranged signal, the police came in and arrested the suspect.

Found in her possession were four medium-sized plastic sachets containing 148 grams of shabu worth over P1 million, the pouch bag where it was found, a cellular phone and  the P1,000 in marked money used in the buy-bust.

The pieces of evidence were brought to the MPD-Crime Laboratory Office for examination while the suspect was detained and charged with violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
