FIVE members of a demolition team were arrested for allegedly stealing dental equipment worth P905,000 from a commercial building in Sta. Ana, Manila.
The suspects were identified as Alexander Abejo, 39, the team leader, and residing at Cogeo Gate in Antipolo City; Sonny Castro, 28, of Barangay Dela Paz, Antipolo; Kobe Abejo, 20, of Bgy. Dela Paz, Antipolo; Arnel Gonzales, 40, of Bgy. Sta Cruz, Antipolo and Jayron Galima, 24, of Bgy. Sta. Cruz, Antipolo.
Based on the complaint of Marlene Cruz, 62, a businesswoman, of No. 2224 P. Gil. St., Sta. Ana, Manila, the suspects had just demolished a portion of a building owned by Joseph Sy on November 30 when she noticed that some of her dental equipment were missing when she went to her clinic.
She immediately reported the robbery to the officials of their barangay who had the suspects arrested and subsequently turned over to the MPD-Station 6.
The suspects were charged with violation of Article 299 of the Revised Penal Code or “robbery in an inhabited place”.
