19 couples tie knot in mass wedding at Camp Crame

BELIEVING true love exists, nineteen couples from the  Philippine National Police (PNP) officially tied the knot in a mass wedding held yesterday at St. Joseph Church in Camp Crame, Quezon City.

The wedding was witnessed by PNP chief Director General Oscar Albayalde and his wife Cherrylyn who served  as principal sponsors to the wedding couples.

Of the 19 couples, 14 were Police Non-Commissioned Officers and five Non-Uniformed Personnel.

“This mass wedding day offered to our personnel clearly manifests our commitment not only to be credible effective and efficient law enforcement officers but also to be responsible, God-centered and loving husband and wife and family,” Albayalde said.

Albayalde explained that the essence of the mass wedding is to celebrate love for family as an inspiration of every police officer in fulfilling his duties and to live with divine guidance.

The PNP Chaplain Service organized the PNP Mass Wedding 2019 in the light of the celebration of the 28th PNP Founding Anniversary wherein the PNP personnel, both uniformed and non-uniformed personnel, were given free wedding ceremony with reception and with the principal sponsorship of the PNP leadership.

Rev. Msgr. Albert Songco, the Vicar General for the Armed Forces of the Philippines, Military Ordinariate of the Philippines officiated the mass wedding co-celebrated with the Catholic Chaplains of the PNP-CHS.

The mass wedding is an annual event of PNP in celebration of its founding anniversary.
