CHINA President Xi Jinping’s visit to the Philippines by yearend is expected to strengthen economic ties between the two countries.
During the 44th Philippine Business Conference and Expo (PBCE), Economic and Commercial Counselor of the Chinese Embassy Jin Yuan said both nations are expected to explore bilateral relations during Xi’s visit.
The Economic and Commercial Counselor added that the two governments will sign a framework agreement on establishing Chinese Industrial Zones.
As this developed, Deputy Director-General of the Department of External Affairs for China Center for Intenational Economic Exchanges (CCIEE) Yuan Youwei said in a media briefing in Beijing that there are two principles that come into her mind with regards to International Cooperation.
“The world is facing and encountering a lot difficulties and challenges. No country can fight by themselves. We need to work together, we are a team,” she stressed.
While she emphasized cooperation in all situations, she also said the need to stick to rules and to always keep in mind the International Cooperation.
“International Cooperation… we cannot just do everything on our own will… I want to do this today and I’ll change my mind tomorrow. That is not right,” Yuan said.
“We think, as a major country, as a major power, we need to take care of our neighbors. We have responsibility to help small countries and also the rich countries and the responsibility to help the poor countries,” she added.
Yuan added that empty talks cannot yield results.
She said that after 40 years of development, China has tried to do its best in helping other countries.
