A CHINESE-led prostitution ring catering to foreign nationals inside the Clark Freeport Zone in Angeles City, Pampanga was busted by agents of the Philippine National Police Criminal Investigation and Detection Group following an early Tuesday morning raid, PNP-CIDG director, Major General Joel Napoleon M. Coronel said yesterday.
Six Chinese nationals identified as Fu Yi Nei,26; Iuo Ying,25; Hu Yu Lin,30; Wang Ji Yin,30; Liu Lin Feng,34; and Qui Shi Kai,30, were arrested during the raids at Condo Nos. 5202,5203 and 5204 of the Fontana Hotel and Villas conducted by operatives of the CIDG Anti-Transnational Crime Unit 2:30 a.m. Tuesday, the PNP-CIDG chief said.
“The six Chinese nationals were arrested for maintaining the prostitution dens where six female Chinese nationals and two female Vietnamese were rescued,” said Coronel.
Two of the six Chinese women were both 28-years old; another is 31; the 4th is 32-years old; the 5th is 33-years old and the eldest is 34. The two Vietnamese women are with ages 30 and 31.
Coronel said that recovered during the operation were marked money paid by an undercover agent to the suspects in exchange for sex. The operation was launched amid persistent information about the presence of foreign Asian nationals being peddled for sex by a syndicate right inside Clark Freeport Zone, he explained.
All suspects and the rescued foreigners were taken to the CIDG-ATCU office in Camp Crame for documentation. The suspects will be facing charges for violation of Republic Act 9208 or the Anti-Trafficking in Person Act of 2003 as amended by RA 10364 or the Expanded Anti-Trafficking in Person Act of 2012 before an Angeles City Prosecutor’s Office, said Coronel.
