Criminal Investigation and Detection Group new chief, 6 others take oath

PHILIPPINE National Police chief Director General Oscar D. Albayalde yesterday swore in seven newly-promoted star-rank officers led by PNP Criminal Investigation and Detection Group chief, newly-minted Police Director Amador V. Corpus.

Corpus, a classmate from Philippine Military Academy “Sinagtala” Class of 1986 of Gen. Albayalde, is a former Police Regional Office 3 director in Central Luzon where he led the solution of a number of celebrated cases including the killing of some politicians and a priest.

He took over as PNP-CIDG head when his mistah, lawyer-Director Roel B. Obusan retired in November last year.

Apart from Corpus, the others who were sworn into office by Gen. Albayalde were newly-promoted police Chief Superintendents Herminio S. Tadeo Jr., Ronald C. Macapagal, Jesus D. Cambay Jr., Joey B. Runes, Romeo P. de Castro and Nestor E. Felix.    

Tadeo, a member of PMA Class 1988 is currently the Deputy Regional Director for Administration of the Police Regional Office 1 in Ilocos-Pangasinan region while Cambay of PMA Class 1989 is the DRDA of the PRO6 in Western Visayas.

Macapagal is the Executive Officer of the PNP Directorate for Research and Development while Runes is the acting director of the PNP Communications and Electronics Service. De Castro is the Executive Office of the PNP Directorate for Plans while Felix is assigned with the PNP Internal Affairs Service.
