PRESIDENT Rodrigo Duterte has slammed singer and administration critic Jim Paredes who recently figured in a viral video scandal.
Duterte lashed out at Paredes while the President was campaigning against the senatorial candidates belonging to the opposition Otso Diretso coalition in Bacolod City.
In his speech, the President commented on the video that supposedly showed Paredes pleasuring himself.
“Tapos itong Jim Paredes immoral daw ako. Pinakita niya yung o—n niya, t__ina ang liit pa ganun. Sa totoo lang. Kaya ako napasabi ako hindi ako nagyayabang ha. Napasabi ako ‘Ha, hala kaliit’ tapos adik tapos doing the...,” Duterte said.
Duterte admitted having a foul mouth but said he had never engaged in acts that Paredes did in the video.
“‘Yan ang mga taong nagbabatikos sa akin. Kita mo yung kalidad nila. Ako bastos magsalita, pero nunca ako nagpakita ako ng...nagpapahawak ako basta maganda. Walang problema yan pero hawak lang,” Duterte added.
In a blog post dated April 1, Paredes said the video was supposed to be private and not meant for public consumption.
“I do not know how it became public. I can only surmise that in this ugly season of toxic politics, muckrakers determined to neutralize my influence by violating my privacy and digging up dirt on me are at work,” Paredes said.
Paredes added he decided to break his silence because he has chosen to be truthful as he believes that it will set him free.
Paredes, a member of the Apo Hiking Society, also said he had never tried to project himself as perfect.
