THREE family members including a 12-year-old Grade 6 student were killed by a policeman whom they earlier sued for child abuse and grave threat yesterday morning in Quezon City.
Quezon City Police Director Chief Supt. Joselito Esquivel identified the victims as Romeo Catalan Ado Sr., 54; his wife Christine, 48, and their Romeo Jr., 12. They died on the spot from multiple gunshot wounds in the body.
The Ado’s three year-old grandson John Goldimire Nocum was spared by suspect PO3 Jerry Antonio of the Caloocan Police, and a resident of Sitio San Roque, Barangay Bagong Pag Asa, Quezon City.
Investigation showed that the raging policeman barged inside the house of the Ado family at 138 Alpha Madrigal Street, Adelina Farm, Sition San Roque in Bgy. Bagong Pagasa, at around 1:35 a.m.
The suspect shot the sleeping victims one after the other.
Esquivel said the Ados earned the ire of Antonio after filing grave threats charges against him.
According to PO2 Ronald Pelicano of the Masambong Police Station, PO3 Antonio was then living with the Ados before they parted ways after the gun-poking incident.
Three neighbors of the Ado’s told police that prior to the incident, they were chatting on Madrigal Street when the suspect arrived and asked them if they saw Romeo Sr.. They were then told by the suspect to go to their respective houses.
Moments later, they heard gunshots coming from the victims’ house.
Esquivel ordered a manhunt for the suspect.
