Sen. Bong Go shares a light moment with Foton and Chery officials after giving a speech at the firm’s inauguration in Davao City.

SENATOR Christopher Lawrence “Bong” Go reiterated his commitment to serve the interests of the Filipino people over private interests during his attendance at the Foton and Chery Davao inauguration where he was  guest of honor.

Dahil uunahin talaga namin ni mayor ang Pilipino,” Go said in his speech.

The senator affirmed his and President Rodrigo Duterte’s support for businesses that serve the welfare of the Filipino people rather than just focusing on their corporate interests.

“Tutulungan ka ni Presidente. Pero ‘pag nag-negosyo ka na ang interes mo lang, negosyante lang ang nasa isipan mo parati, hindi kayo magkakasundo,” Go said.

The senator urged private companies to support the government’s campaign against illegal drugs, criminality and most especially corruption.

“Papaano niyo kami matutulungan?

Go also said he will continue to fulfill his campaign promise to serve and listen to the concerns of Filipinos, wherever they are in the country.

Ngayon dapat umikot, mas kailangan ng Pilipino ang serbisyo,” he said.

Kahit saang sulok ng Pilipinas, pupuntahan namin kayo,” he added.

Asked if he will seek a higher position in the next national elections, Go said that he would rather continue serving the Filipinos instead of talking about politics.

“Wala po akong plano for higher office.
