ANOTHER employee of the House of Representatives tested positive for coronavirus disease (COVID-19).
House Secretary General Jose Luis Montales said this is the 19th case in the Lower Chamber.
The stricken employee is assigned at the Procurement and Supply Management Service.
“He last reported for work on July 20. He went home about 2 hours later after experiencing clogged nose.
"He is presently on home quarantine,” Montales said.
The House official said contact tracing is now ongoing.
The second regular session of the 18th Congress will open on Monday, July 27 at 10 am.
Health protocols will be strictly enforced inside the Batasan Complex such as wearing of mask, social distancing and no mass gathering.
The opening of session will be limited to only few attendees or 25 solons while the rest of the 300 members will be attending via Zoom.
