Hugpong won’t resort to black propaganda

THE Hugpong ng Pagbabago, under the leadership of Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte, will continue its positive campaign despite coming under attack from the opposition.

In a statement, HNP chairperson Mayor Duterte said that from the start she had instructed the Hugpong candidates to focus on their platforms during the campaign rather than engage in black propaganda.

“We are pushing a different kind of campaigning, something that does not involve maligning or attacking other candidates, and we think the voters agree with us,” the presidential daughter said.

The latest Pulse Asia survey showed that nine of the HNP candidates made it to the Top 12.

They are Cynthia Villar, Sonny Angara, Bong Go, Francis Tolentino, Bato dela Rosa, Pia Cayetano, Imee Marcos, Bong Revilla and Jinggoy Estrada.

added that the good performance of the HNP supported senatorial candidates in the March 2019 surveys is a strong indication that the candidates are effective in delivering the message of “positive change,’ which is now being relentlessly pursued by the Duterte administration.

“The agenda of each of our candidates obviously resonates well with the voters. Our candidates truly value what the voters consider important to their lives and to the country,” she said.
