PROSPERIDAD, Agusan del Sur – Hugpong Pagbabago chairman and founder Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte plans to create a new Facebook account after the social media site removed her old one.
Mayor Duterte yesterday confirmed that she can no longer access her account on Facebook and she was also informed by the people close to her that they can no longer tag her in every post.
“Pwede naman mag-create new account, iyan isa sa mga iniisip ko. Gumawa ng bago pero ngayon hindi ko muna siya priority,” she added.
But despite being a victim of purging, the HNP campaign manager said she respects the decision of the social media site because it has the discretion to remove account.
“Well, alam nyo FB is not a public property so they have the right kung ano gusto nila gawin sa negosyo nila, kung ayaw nila ang isang account they can very well take it down,” Mayor Duterte said.
Last week, Mayor Duterte said her FB was taken down.
“Nakita ko na locked out na ang account even before the purging of 200 accounts, nauna pa,” the presidential daughter said.
According to her staff, Duterte’s account was “one of the casualties of the Facebook purge” after her account was “heavily reported.”
In a Facebook notice shared by Duterte’s camp, Facebook informed Sara that her account is temporarily locked.
