LP calls on all party chapters to join virus fight

ALL party chapters of the Liberal Party were called on to help in the COVID-19 response.

LP Secretary General Kit Belmonte sent a letter to all party chapters, urging all members to provide any assistance in their respective communities.

The LP has built 95 chapters with almost 10,000 active members across the country.

Vice President Leni Robredo is the current party chairperson.

In his letter, Belmonte asked all the LP chapters to coordinate with the Office of the Vice President for the assistance. However if they have other projects these can be executed provided that it will follow the protocols and policies of enhanced community quarantine.

Among the LP suggestions to the party members are: fundraising or donation drive for additional personal protective equipment (PPE); production drive for do-it-yourself face masks, face shields and disinfection supplies; care packages for essential workers like garbage collectors, checkpoint personnel and others.

Meanwhile, he asked every sector to set aside politics at this time of health crisis.
