
MARINA welcomes new chief
THE Maritime Industry Authority (MARINA) welcomed the appointment of Vice-Admiral Narciso A. Vingson Jr. as its new officer-in-charge.
President Rodrigo Duterte announced the designation of Vingson during the 117th anniversary of theCoast Guard (PCG) in Manila.
He also announced the re-assignment of former MARINA administrator Rey Leonardo Guerrero to the Bureau of Customs (BoC).
Vingson, a member of the PMA Sandiwa Class of 1985 and a naval warfare officer, underwent training courses in the United States in Anti-submarine Warfare, Amphibious Warfare, Naval Gunfire Operation, and Combat Information Center Operation.
He pursued higher education at the Naval Post Graduate School in Monterey earning a degree in Master of Science in Systems Engineering.
