ANOTHER increase in the prices of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) is set to hit consumers while another round of fuel increase also awaits motorists.
Oil industry sources said the price of cooking gas is likely to increase by about 50 centavos to P1.00 per kilo which is equivalent to P5.50 or P11 for every 11-kilogram tank.
Sources said prices of auto LPG are also likely to increase effective May 1. The increase reflects the international contract price of LPG. Aside from LPG, prices of gasoline products may go up from 70 centavos to P80 centavos per liter while diesel by 75 centavos to 85 centavos per liter, but this is still subject to change depending on the assessment of Mean of Platts Singapore (MOPS) and the dollar exchange rates.
