PRESIDENT Rodrigo Duterte has said he is taking sleeping pills.

Duterte mentioned Stilnox, a prescription drug, which is said to be used for the short-term treatment of insomnia in adults.

“I take Stilnox to sleep. Prescribed ‘yan. Tulog ka talaga because Stilnox makatulog ka lang ng six hours, parang nag-hit ka ng mga eight because not even dreams, wala sarado talaga,” the President said in a speech in Davao City.

Previously, Duterte said that he used the drug fentanyl as he was suffering from “perpetual pain” due to a spinal injury as a result of a motorcycle accident years ago.

He said fentanyl was even prescribed to him by his doctor which was to be cut into four pieces and taken one at a time for two days.
