Sara’s wish for critic

TAGBILARAN City, Bohol -- Controlling her temper, Hugpong ng Pagbabago founder Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte wished an opposition solon attacking her a blessed life.

Mayor Duterte refused to respond to Akbayan Rep. Tom Villarin’s criticism that she is “upstaging” the senatorial candidates of the HNP.

“I feel na dapat siya I-bless ng Diyos, madami pang personal turmoil na nangyayari sa kanya,” the presidential daughter said referring to Villarin.

She added “may pag-uugali siya na kailangan I-bless.”

Earlier, Villarin, an ally of the Liberal Party (LP), criticized Mayor Duterte for stealing the thunder from her very own HNP senate slate.

“I think that Mayor Sara Duterte is overdoing her role as campaign manager and is projecting more herself than her senatorial bets,” Villarin said.

Villarin added that Mayor Duterte’s alleged presidential plan is unwittingly sabotaging the entire HNP senatorial slate.

But instead of responding in kind to Villarin, the HNP chairperson chose to rein herself in as she already promised not to bully the opposition.

During the campaign rally in Lipa Batangas two weeks ago, Mayor Duterte declared truce with the opposition after her mother Elizabeth asked her to stop quarreling with other groups.

Mayor Duterte together with other governors from Mindanao Region formed the regional party HNP.
