MUSLIM and Christian brothers along with various religious sects and the police will gather this morning for a solidarity walk to denounce the twin bombings in Jolo, Sulu that left scores dead and injured.

Dubbed “Lakad Tungo sa Kapayapaan, Iwaksi ang Karahasan,” the walk-for-a-cause event will start at 6 a.m. where the concerned groups proceed to the Liwasang Aurora at the Quezon Memorial Circle for an inter-faith rally.

In a text message, Metro Police chief Director Guillermo Lorenzo T. Eleazar said he will lead the police along with the leadership of the Quezon City Police District (QCPD) under the leadership of Chief Supt. Joselito Esquivel.

The inter-faith rally will be followed by a peace covenant signing denouncing any form of terroristic acts and releasing of white doves as a symbol of peace and unity.

According to Esquivel, Muslim brothers will assemble at the University Avenue, UP Diliman while Non-Muslim faith will assemble in front of PLDT on East Avenue before heading together to the QCMC.
