Supreme Court names new Public Information Office chief

January 28, 2019

Chief Justice Lucas Bersamin yesterday announced the appointment of lawyer Brian Keith F. Hosaka as the new head of the Supreme Court Public Information Office replacing Court Administrator Jose Midas Marquez who held the position in a concurrent capacity.

“I just would like to announce that I have designated a new head of the PIO, and he is Atty. Brian Hosaka. He will start today (Monday). Brian Hosaka is not a newcomer. He served in the Court before under (Ret.) Justice Josue Bellosillo. So let us all support him,” Chief Justice said.

However, Bersamin disclosed that Marquez will temporarily continue to be the court spokesperson to give way for a smooth transition with Hosaka.

Marquez and Hosaka worked together before as law clerks in the office of Bellosillo.  Prior to his designation, Hosaka was a founding partner of the Paner Hosaka & Ypil Attorneys-at-Law.
