AGENTS of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency Friday afternoon arrested a top female drug trafficker in Taguig City in front of a public elementary school in Lower Bicutan and seized an estimated P3.4 million worth of shabu, PDEA Chair Director General Aaron N. Aquino announced yesterday.

Suspect Euela Arguel Rosario,  alias ‘Mylina/Elay, was placed under arrest by undercover officers of the PDEA Special Enforcement Service under director Levi Ortiz after she sold 500 grams of the “poor man’s cocaine” to a poseur in front of Ricardo P. Cruz Sr.  Elementary School along M.L. Quezon Street in Barangay New Lower Bictuan, said the PDEA head.

Seized from the suspect’s possession were eight medium-size heat-sealed plastic sachets containing 500 grams of suspected shabu and the boodle money topped by several marked bills.

The suspect, according to Ortiz has gained notoriety for selling drugs to public utility drivers and even students in Taguig City. “She is believed to be using out-of-school youths and even young students as her couriers,” Ortiz said.

Aquino said they are still conducting follow-up operations to identify and arrest the main sources of the drugs recovered from the suspect who will be facing non-bailable charges for selling and trafficking of drugs under Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

PDEA spokesman Director Derrick Arnold C. Carreon said that a record check showed that the suspect previously served a 6-year jail term after she was convicted for illegal possession of dangerous drugs in 2012.
