FORMER Senator Antonio Trillanes IV returned to the country, quietly arriving like an ordinary passenger at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) yesterday.
Trillanes arrived at the NAIA Terminal 3 about 7:00 in the morning on a Qatar Airlines flight from the United States via Doha.
He was met by by his family and lawyer and went straight to Quezon City Metropolitan Trial Court-Branch 138 to post bail for his inciting sedition case.
Trillanes has been charged along with 10 others accused of involvement in the “Bikoy videos” that linked President Duterte and his family members to the drug trade.
Agents of the National Bureau of Investigation stationed at the NAIA did not make a move to arrest the ex-senator for lack of an arrest warrant.
