TWO presidential siblings, Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio and Congressman-elect Paolo Duterte, said from the start the Bikoy stories were all fabricated.
In separate statements, both siblings of President Rodrigo Duterte said that the Bikoy stories wer meant to destroy the First Family.
“Bikoy is scam created by people who oppose the Duterte administration,” Mayor Sara said.
Peter Joemel Advincula, the man who claims to be Bikoy, yesterday said that all his claims in the narco-list videos were lies. He pointed at the Liberal Party and Senator Antonio Trillanes as behind the orchestrated stories meant to oust the President and destroy the reputation of the Duterte family members.
Aside from Paolo Duterte, the man in the video also linked Mayor Sara’s husband Atty. Manases Carpio to illegal drug operations.
While she has no plans to file cases, Mayor Sara slammed the group behind the allegations against her family.
“This group is so disorganized they cannot even get to first base because the path to their objective is in disarray. Kung ako leader ng grupo na ito, I will shoot myself in the head, get rid of the brain that is not useful,” she said.
For his part, incoming Representative of Davao City Paolo said from the start he believed that the video stoies linking him to international drug syndicate is fabricated.
He is also convinced that it was Trillanes who is behind the scam.
“From the very start, it was clear that the Bikoy videos were fabricated with a narrative taken straight from the playbook of people whose desire is to destroy our name and our reputation,” Rep. Paolo said.
He stressed that all the lies presented were also meant to crush the trust of the Filipino people in the authorities and inspire public disgust against the government.
“Without a doubt, as I have said before, Senator Antonio Trillanes was behind it. And now that many names have also surfaced, to include Sen. Risa Hontiveros and several lawyers, I believe a proper investigation is in order,” he added.
