Biñan City, Laguna -- Police arrested 13 suspected drug users while sniffing shabu at a pot session during the implementation of “Oplan Galugad” in Bgy. Canlalay, here, on Sunday.
Calabarzon police director Chief Supt. Edward Carranza identified the suspects as Julius Sebastian, 39, Abi Monabi, 25, Marvin Hermosa, 21, Danilo Bernardo,33, Mark Anthony Palma, 25, Carlo Flores, 35, John Yap, 34, Arnold Perez, 28, Emily dela Cruz, 58, Bobby Verziela, 37, Jomar Cabojoc, 22, Jojie Nono, 36, and Dominador Amemita, 41, all in Biñan City.
Supt. Danilo Mendoza, OIC chief of police, said operatives, in coordination with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA), arrested the suspects while in the act of sniffing suspected shabu at a pot session.
A body search on the suspects led to the confiscation of six heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets of suspected shabu, two aluminum foil strips with traces of suspected shabu, 10 rolled aluminum foil tooter, an improvised glass tooter, eight disposable lighters, a pack of unused plastic sachet and a pair of scissors.
The pieces of evidence were inventoried at the scene before they were brought to the Regional Crime Laboratory Office in Calamba City for drug test and laboratory examination.
