A total of 163 persons were arrested and 29 loose firearms were confiscated during the week-long anti-crime operations in Bataan, Olongapo City and Zambales.
This was disclosed the other day by Police Regional Office 3 director Brig. Gen. Rhodel O. Sermonia, who said 18 of those arrested were included in the police’s list of most wanted persons.
The operations that fall under the Simultaneous Anti-Criminality Law Enforcement Operations (SACLEO) of the Philippine National Police and PRO3, resulted in the recovery of 29 loose firearms in Bataan, one in Olongapo City, and 11 guns and one hand grenade in Zambales.
Police also seized some 100 grams of shabu worth several hundred thousands of pesos during the SACLEO in the two provinces and one city.
Among the most wanted fugitives arrested were Diosdado Omayan, top 1 most wanted of Viga, Catanduanes for rape; Joseph Lloyd Olidan, top 10 most wanted in Balanga, Bataan for violation of Republic Act 9165; and, Ernie Flores, top 6 most wanted of Hermosa, Bataan for acts of lasciviousness in relation to RA 7610.
The Olongapo City police arrested 11 persons for illegal gambling, 19 persons involved in illegal drugs and eight persons sought by law.
Authorities in Zambales apprehended persons including most wanted and those involved in illegal drugs, illegal gambling and violation of special laws.
“With these accomplishments, tuluy-tuloy pa rin po ang aming mga opensibang isasagawa these coming days to sustain our fight against all forms of lawlessness in the region at kami po ay patuloy ring humihingi ng suporta sa ating mga mamamayan upang mapagtagumpayan natin ang ating labang ito,” Sermonia said.
