19 persons arrested for curfew, checkpoint violations

CAMP MALVAR, Batangas—At least 19 individuals were apprehended by authorities  through the implementation of Enhanced Community Quarantine in several town police checkpoints here, provincial police chief PIO P/Capt Hazel P. Luma-ang Suarez said the other day.

Bauan Municipal Police Station chief Lt. Col Joemar Q. Labiano identified the suspects as Joel Pacho, who was riding a bicycle; William Matthew Hume, 56, jobless, a British National and resident of B10 L6 Camella Homes, Bgy. Sambat, San Pascual, who insulted PSSg Manalo by shouting “You are a fucking idiot, there is no ATM open in this town” and then pointed a dirty finger at the cop; while Batangas City cops collared Julius Alba, Philgen Mark Azucena, Camelle Lipar, Joen Mostacisa y Cabatay and Janny De Castro for violation of RA 11332 and Art. 151. 

While patrolling the vicinity of Bgy. Cuta at 11:55 p.m., they also arrested Czarina Detoro, Ace Mendoza, Ronaldo Mendoza and Mrytle Anne Reyes were also arrested in Bgy. Sta. Clara.

In Balayan town, police said Bgy. Chairman Armando Del Mundo and his kagawad turnedover the suspects identified as Diosdado Ramirez, Jun Rey Manongsong, Edwin Tumala and Helbert Decinan who were caught in a drinking spree outside the house of one Diosdado Ramirez while implementing the Barangay Community quarantine lockdown re COVID-19.

Calaca town police also arrested the suspect identified as Roderick Comia, Emerson Montalbo, Ken Zyrell Mauhay and Cris John Lofranco.
