2 Chinese nat’ls, 14 other felons jailed

AGENTS of the Philippine National Police Criminal Investigation and Detection Group this week arrested 16 persons including two Chinese nationals wanted for various felonies across the country, PNP-CIDG director, Major General Joel Napoleon M. Coronel announced yesterday.

“This is part of our stepped-up implementation of our own Oplan: Tugis aimed at accounting for all wanted persons in the country as ordered by PNP chief, General Archie Francisco Gamboa,” the official said.

Coronal said Chinese nationals Hu Shiling alias ‘Hu Ling’ and Liu Wei alias ‘Lee Seung’ were arrested last Tuesday inside Fontana Villa in Clark Economic Zone in Mabalacat City, Pampanga for violation of Republic Act 10918 or the Philippine Pharmacy Act issued by Judge Ma. Arabella Eusebio-Rodolfo of the Clarkfield, Pampanga Municipal Trial Court.

Members of the CIDG Regional Field Unit 3 arrested the two foreigners for their involvement in the operations of a clandestine COVID-19 hospital catering to Chinese patients inside the Fontana Villa, Coronel said.

Another suspect identified as Aris Anselmo, a man wanted for murder was arrested in his hiding place in Barangay Bannit in Lamut, Ifugao by local CIDG operatives.

A warrant for the arrest of the suspect was issued by Judge Moises Pardo of the Cabarroguis Regional Trial Court Branch 32 in Quirino province.

A 4th identified as Eduardo Seballos was arrested in Trespuentes, Bgy. Lantad in Silay City in Negros Occidental on the basis of a warrant of arrest for three counts of murder.

Seballos was identified as the no. 1 most wanted person in Tobias Fornier, Antique.

Another identified as Christy Mejia, a woman wanted for qualified theft was nabbed in Bgy. Rizal in Santiago City in Isabela.

Mejia was identified as the leader of a gang engaged in theft and larceny in Santiago City prior to her arrest.

A 6th identified as Jorge Kevin Cañiza alias ‘Adan/Kevin Macorol Caniza’ was arrested in Bgy. Don Lucia in Mondragon, Northern Samar by local CIDG officers on the strength of a warrant of arrest for rape issued by Judge Nathaniel Baldono of the Borongan City RTC Branch 2.

A 7th identified as Conrado Villota, a wanted murder suspect was arrested in Purok 4, Catanalacan, Science City of Muñoz in Nueva Ecija.

Prior to his arrest, Villota has been tagged as the 5th most wanted man in Isabela province.

The 8th identified as Leonilo Depasupil, a man wanted for five counts of rape was tracked down in his hiding place in Bgy. Luna-Candol in Gubat, Sorsogon and arrested on the basis of a warrant issued by Judge Bernardo Jimenez Jr. of the Gubat RTC Branch 54. Depasupil was identified as the no. 1 most wanted person in Gubat municipality.

The 9th identified as Mark Centino was arrested on the basis of a warrant of arrest for Other Forms of Arson issued by Judge Cyclamen Fernandez of the La Carlota City RTC Branch 63 in Negros Occidental. The suspect who was tagged as the leader of a gang engaged in extortion and arson activities in Antique  was found in his residence in Sitio Badiangan in Valderrama municipality.

The 10th identified as Jimmy Genova was arrested on the basis of a warrant of arrest for rape issued by Judge Favio Albao Jr. of the Sogod RTC Branch 39 in Southern Leyte. Genova was identified as a member of a local gang involved in gunrunning, robbery-extortion theft and prostitution in the province.
