SAN LEONARDO, Nueva Ecija -- Two most wanted men tagged as the number one and two in the top ten Oplan Sibat Targets in this town were nabbed during manhunt operations conducted here on Tuesday night.
Police Maj. Jeffrey Alivia, town police head, identified those arrested as Rey Mangulabnan, 37, alias Atok, laborer, and Rolando Delos Santos, 24, alias Olan, businessman, both of 877 Purok 3, Bgy. Tabuating, this town.
Alivia said the two suspects were collared in Bgy. Tabuating at 11 p.m. by his men by virtue of two arrest warrants for murder and frustrated murder issued by acting Presiding Judge Felizardo S. Montero Jr. of the Cabanatuan City Regional Trial Court Branch 29 on April 22, 2019.
He said they received a copy of said warrant on May 15, informing them that Judge Montero has recommended no bail for the two accused.
Meanwhile, the Cabanatuan City police reported the arrest of Sammy Subaba, 57, widower, of Bgy. Canuto Ramos, San Jose City and Evangeline Pineda, 56, widow, of Bgy. Bunga, Carranglan, Nueva Ecija.
Lt. Col. Ponciano Zafra, city police head said the duo allegedly pretended as car buyers at FORD-Cabanatuan in Bgy. Sumacab Este and drove away a Ford Ranger pick-up truck during a transaction held at its display shop on Monday at 3:30 p.m.
Zafra said the two suspects were later apprehended during follow-up operations by his men with the help of the Llanera police.
