2 farmers held for MJ plants in Lucena raid

LUCENA City -- Police operatives arrested  two male workers for planting marijuana  at a  private farm in Purok Sariling Atin, Bgy. Gulang- Gulang here.

City police director Supt. Reydante Ariza identified the  suspects as Allan Omanga, 34; and Michael Lavarro, 21, both workers of FC Piggery and Feedmill Farm.

Ariza said the arrest was made after another farm worker reported to the police the illegal activity of the suspects.

The raiding team found the marijuana planted in several used buckets.

The two will be charged with violations of Republic Act 9165  or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drug Act of 2002.
