TWO known ‘high-value targets’ in Central Mindanao were hauled to jail by agents of the Police Regional Office 12 in separate buy-bust operations in Cotabato on Thursday, PRO12 director, Brigadier General Michael John F. Dubria announced yesterday.
One of the suspects identified as Marjamia Mamasaunda, a 30-year-old resident of Datu Piang Street, Barangay Poblacion in Pikit, Cotabato was arrested after he sold six heat-sealed plastic sachets containing shabu to an undercover officer in his neighborhood.
The suspect who has been tagged as the no. 5 top drug target in Pikit municipality also yielded the marked P500 bill paid to him by the poseur past 9 a.m. Thursday.
The 2nd suspect identified as Ferdinand Into,46, the Top 10 drug personality in Makilala, Cotabato yielded seven plastic sachets containing the illegal drugs and a marked P500 bill during the sting in Purok 5, Bgy. Poblacion 5:30 p.m. Thursday.
Dubria said that members of the Cotabato Police Provincial Office and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency joined hands in catching the two suspects who are now facing charges for sale and possession of dangerous drugs under Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
