2 Indian nationals die in motorbike-truck smash-up

TWO Indian brothers on Thursday died when the motorcycle they were riding collided with  a truck on MCLL Highway in Zamboanga City.

Singh Amardeep, 33; and his brother Minindar, 22, both residents of Araneta Drive, Tumbaga, Zamboanga City, were thrown off their motorcycle and suffered severe head and body injuries.

The two were travelling on Km. 58 in Bgy. Buenavista, MCLL Highway at 5:35 p.m. on Thursday when they slammed into a truck coming from the opposite direction driven by Raymond Papas, 30, of Vitali, Zamboanga City.

The truck and the Singh brothers’ motorcycle were impounded at the Zamboanga City Police Station 2.

Papas will be facing charges for reckless imprudence resulting in double homicide and damage to property.
