2 killed, 2 arrested in Ecija stings

CABANATUAN CITY -- Four separate anti-narcotics operations by the police in Nueva Ecija have resulted in the death of two suspected drug peddlers and the arrest of two others on Thursday, a police report said yesterday.

In San Jose City, reported killed were suspected drug pushers Ryan Gonzales, of Tandang Sora St., Quezon City and Dominador Dionaldo, alias Buboy, of Bgy. Sibut, San Jose City.

Gonzales allegedly turned hostile during a drug buy-bust conducted in Bgy. Abar 1st at 3:20 a.m. and tried to shoot an undercover operative, forcing his back up officer to retaliate, resulting in his death, said city police head, Lt. Col. Heryl Bruno.

Dionaldo also was shot dead after figuring in an armed encounter in Bgy. Malasin shortly after selling illegal drugs to a police poseur-buyer, said Bruno.

Those nabbed for selling shabu were identified as Robert Cabatuando, 36, of Bgy. San Vicente, and Jason Villareal, 38, beautician, of Bgy. San Nicolas, both of Gapan City.

Gapan city police chief Lt. Col. Criselda De Guzman said the duo were arrested during separate buy-bust operations conducted in Bgys. San Vicente and Sto. Niño.
