27 dealers apprehended, P2M banned drugs seized in Cavite

A 2-DAY anti-crime operation in Cavite resulted in the arrest of 27 suspects including three known drug dealers and the confiscation of over P2 million worth of shabu and other prohibited drugs, a report to Police Regional Office 4-A director, Brigadier General Vicente D. Danao Jr. said yesterday.

Cavite Police Provincial Office director, Colonel Marlon R. Santos said that five of the suspects were arrested in four separate buy-bust operations in the province which led in the seizure of around P860,000 worth of the so-called ‘poor man’s cocaine.

Santos said that in General Mariano Alvarez municipality, suspect Michael Dreu was arrested in a sting along Governors Drive in Barangay Gavino Maderan after he sold some 100 grams of shabu worth P680,000 to an undercover agent around 2 a.m. yesterday.

The suspect also yielded a loaded caliber .45 pistol with a magazine containing three live ammunition while recovered inside his car, a Toyota Vios, were  a digital weighing scale, a small box containing transparent plastic sachets, an empty .45 magazine and eight spent .45 casings.

Santos said that acting on a tip from the management of the Golden Oasys Hotel located in front of SM Molino in Bgy. Molino 4, Bacoor City on Monday afternoon, the local police also recovered 100 pieces of suspected Ecstasy tablets worth P170,000 which were abandoned by a guest.

The Bacoor City Police Station headed by Lieutenant Col. Vicente Cabatingan also arrested Alex Mae de Castro and Fatima Lamban after they conspired to sell shabu to a poseur beside the Sogo Hotel in Molino Boulevard, Talaba 4 around 1:40 a.m. yesterday.

Confiscated from the duo’s possession were three plastic sachets containing around 26 grams of shabu valued at P172,000 and the boodle money topped by two marked P100 bills.

Santos said also arrested during the Monday and yesterday’s operations were 24 other persons wanted for rape in relation to child abuse, theft, homicide, direct assault, robbery, alarm and scandal, adultery, carnapping and falsification of public documents.
