FIVE Chinese nationals wanted for their involvement in the kidnapping of a fellow Chinese were arrested by agents of the Philippine National Police Anti-Kidnapping Group in an operation in Porac, Pampanga last Monday, PNP-AKG director, Brigadier General Jonnel C. Estomo announced yesterday.
The suspects composed of three males and two females are now being investigated in connection with the reported kidnapping of Jhun Haxo Xu who was rescued by PNP-AKG operatives in a Caltex gasoline station along the North Luzon Expressway last Sunday.
According to Estomo, acting on information provided by the victim thru the aid of an interprter, operatives from the AKG Luzon Field Unit led Lieutenant Colonel Villaflor Bannawagan conducted a follow-up operation at the Royal Thai Garden in Barangay Sta. Cruz in Porac at 6:45 p.m. Monday and arrested the five suspects.
The suspects and the rescued kidnapping victim are now being investigated at the PNP-AKG headquarters in Camp Crame, Estomo said.
