CAMP Brig. Gen. Vicente Lim, Bgy. Canlubang, Calamba City, Laguna -- Three persons were killed during police offensive against criminals on Wednesday in Rizal and Batangas provinces.
Chief Supt. Edward Carranza, Calabarzon police chief, said his men in Bacoor City killed a certain Ronald Allan Cuevo Samson, 54, of Taliay St., Meadwood Subd., Bgy. Panapaan 8, during a drug bust operation. PO1 Stanley M. Gawon, who was wearing bullet-proof vest, was hit in right arm and body.
Police conducted a drug operation at 6 a.m. but the suspect armed with a cal. .45 pistol fought up a fight.
Four sachets of shabu, drug paraphernalia and a gun were recovered by the police from the slain suspect.
In Antipolo City, Rizal, drug suspect Gerardo Sandoval, alias ‘Tisoy’, of Sitio Maagay 1, Bgy. Inarawan, sold five sachets of shabu at 2 a.m. when the suspects armed with a cal. .38 revolver engaged the policemen in a gun fight. At least 25 grams of shabu were recovered from the suspect after the firefight.
In Batangas City, drug suspect Mark David Guno, alyas ‘Macoy’, of Bgy. Cuta, was selling shabu at 10 p.m. on Wednesday when he shot a police officer upon knowing he was being framed up. The bullet missed and he died in the hospital from gunshot wounds when policemen retaliated.
