33 lawbreakers held in Bulacan

THIRTY-THREE lawbreakers in Bulacan were hauled to jail in a string of anti-crime operations in the province on Monday  and yesterday, a report to Police Regional Office 3 director Brigadier General Rhodel O. Sermonia said.

Bulacan Police Provincial Office director Colonel Lawrence B. Cajipe said  nine of the 33 are known drug personalities who were arrested in separate buy-busts in  the towns of Hagonoy, Plaridel and San Miguel and in Meycauayan City.

Recovered from the nine were 37 heat-sealed plastic sachets containing shabu and the marked money paid to them by undercover officers from the Drug Enforcement Units of the four police stations.

Eight others were arrested for illegal gambling and quarantine violations in Barangay Mapulang Lupa in Pandi and in Bgy. Makapilapil, San Ildefonso. Seized from the eight were different playing cards and P1,953 in cash bets.

Cajipe said  two other wanted felons were also arrested in Balagtas town and in San Jose del Monte City while 14 others were also caught inside no. 28 Encarnado Compound in Bgy. Tugatog, Meycauayan City for violation of the MECQ.
