FOUR persons including a woman died after drinking lambanog and eating adobo at the height of Typhoon Ambo inside in a nipa hut in the middle of a field in Bgy. Maahas, Los Banos, Laguna.
Los Baños, Laguna police chief P/LTCol. Louie Dionglay identified the fatalities as Christian Macasinsg, 34, Analyn Jubilo,31, Regino Lapitan , 47, farmer, and Allan Ariston, all residents of Purok 5, Bgy. Maahas, Los Banos.
"Si Allan ang nagsisilbing runner at inutusan sa pagbili ng lambanog, " said an investigator.
A certain Cornelio Tandang ,56, was released from the hospital.
The victims had a drinking spree from 7 p.m. until 3 a.m. the following morning.
Two witnesses odentified as Joel Arcenas 55 ,construction worker, and Allan Ariston, 41, told investigators that the lambanog was sold bu a certain Rodel Valdez , 36, and Dary Remegio Fernando, 40.
Los Banos police only received the alleged liquor poisoning report on Sunday.
The drinking spree was held at the residence of Tito Macasinag at the middle of a field in Sitio Ibaba, Purok 5, Bgy. Maahas, Los Baños, Laguna,
One of the victims reportedly died at home while the another died on the same day in the hospital.
The other two died in the hospital.
" Sa ngayon hindi pa lumalabas ang resulta ng autopsy report at tinitingnan din kung nalason sila sa adobong pulutan,"said PLT/Col.Dionglay.
