AGENTS of the Western Mindanao police on Monday captured five most wanted persons in the region during separate manhunt operations Police Regional Office 9 director, Chief Superintendent Emmanuel Luis D. Licup announced yesterday.
One of the suspects identified as Maldimar Tating Mahmor, a 33-year old resident of Purok Katipunan, Sitio Palid in Barangay Magdaup, Ipil, Zamboanga Sibugay was arrested in his residence by members of the local police and the Regional Mobile Force Battalion 9, the official said.
He said Mahmor was arrested after officers recovered one rifle grenade, a fragmentation grenade, one M-16 magazine with 18 live ammunition and one caliber .38 revolver inside his residence.
The second identified as 55-year old Rogelio Burlasa was arrested in a raid at the house of a suspected gun-for-hire in Zamboanga Sibugay, Licup said.
The official said Burlasa was found inside the residence in Purok 5, Bgy. Marangan of the wanted gun-for-hire identified only as alias ‘Pepito’ which was raided by members of the Dumingag Municipal Police Station and the Regional Intelligence Division 9.
The suspect yielded five live cal. .45 ammunition and 30 cal. 5.56 bullets.
