5 Chinese ‘kidnappers’ arrested in Pampanga

FIVE Chinese nationals wanted for kidnapping a fellow Chinese were arrested by members of the Philippine National Police Anti-Kidnapping Group in  in Porac, Pampanga on Monday

PNP-AKG director Brigadier General Jonnel C. Estomo yesterday said the suspects -- composed of three men and two women – who are now being investigated in the reported kidnapping of Jhun Haxo Xu, who was rescued by the PNP-AKG operatives at a Caltex gasoline station on the North Luzon Expressway last Sunday.

According to Estomo, acting on information provided by the victim through the aid of an interprter, operatives from the AKG Luzon Field Unit led by Lieutenant Colonel Villaflor Bannawagan conducted a follow-up operation at the Royal Thai Garden in Barangay Sta. Cruz, Porac around 6:45 p.m. Monday and arrested the five suspects.

Estomo said the suspects and the rescued victim are now being  investigated at the PNP-AKG headquarters in Camp Crame.
