CITY OF SAN FERNANDO, Pampanga – Operatives of Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency Region III (PDEA3) raided a drug den, nabbed five drug personalities and seized P209,000 worth of shabu in a drug sting in Barangay Calulut of this city the other day.
In a report submitted to PDEA Director General Wilkins M Villanueva, PDEA3 Regional Director Christian O Frivaldo identified the suspects as Jerome Santiago alias Gorio, 36; Sarah Santiago,34; Carlo Galang, 32; Ronron Yumol, 23; and Leonel Galang, 55, all residents of City of San Fernando.
Confiscated from the suspects were more or less 30 grams of shabu, more or less one gram of marijuana with an estimated street value of P209,000 and the marked money used in the operation.
Frivaldo disclosed that the drug den being operated by Gorio had been operating since March 2020 but ceased its operation during the government’s enhance community quarantine (ECQ) last March 16, 2020.
“We have received reports that the subject drug den has been operating again that prompted us to carry out the operation”, Frivaldo added.
A day earlier, a mother and daughter were arrested by agents of PDEA3 for selling shabu in a buy-bust operation in Barangay Cut-cut in Tarlac City, Tarlac.
Frivaldo identified the suspects as Lorna G. Simon, 50, and Ivy G. Simon, 25, both residents of Barangay Cut-cut, Tarlac City.
Frivaldo said, PDEA had been monitoring the suspects’ illegal activities since March 2020 until their arrest.
The sting yielded five grams of shabu with an estimated street value of P34,000, and the buy-bust money.
