A 5.2-magnitude earthquake yesterday jolted Davao Occidental, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said.

The quake, which was tectonic in origin and had a depth of 117 kilometers, was recorded at 11:13 a.m. yesterday. Its epicenter was 384 kilometers southeast of Sarangani town.

No injury or damage to property was reported.
