Eight suspected drug pushers were killed by operatives of the Drug Enforcement Unit (DEU) in the entire Laguna province during “One-Time Big Time” operations of the Laguna police Wednesday and yesterday morning.
In Cabuyao City, an unidentified notorious holdupman was killed while his companion escaped in police operation yesterday morning.
The two suspects, according to Cabuyao police, were onboard a motorcycle when they were spotted by the barangay tanods acting suspiciously.
Policemen chanced upon the suspects in Bgy. Banlic, fired at the operatives, trigering an armed encounter.
Recovered from the slain suspect was a cal. .45 pistol and ammunition.
In Biñan City, a certain Leo Strell, a drug pusher, was killed by operatives of Drug Enforcement Unit during an armed confrontation, also yesterday.
Strell was on the drug watchlist of the Biñan police for drug pushing.
In Nagcarlan town, two suspected drug pushers were also killed in an armed encounter with the police during a buy-bust operation.
Police identified only one of the suspects as alias “Irilo”. Recovered from them were two cal. .38 revolvers and an undetermined amount of shabu.
One of the policemen, PO3 Danilo Piol, was wounded.
Meanwhile in San Pablo City, suspected drug pushers were killed in two separate armed encounters in Bgys. II-A and San Antonio.
SPO1 Romeo Alejandro identified the slain suspects as Leonardo Perez, of Bgy. II-A, and Harry Cris Landicho, of Bgy. San Antonio.
Confiscated from the house of Perez were 79 plastic sachets of shabu, an electronic weighing scale and a 9mm pistol while Landicho yielded an undetermined amount of shabu and a cal. .45 pistol.
Police also killed two drug pushers in Los Baños and Calamba City.
