CAMP Big. Gen. Paciano Rizal, Sta. Cruz, Laguna -- Nine drug suspects were arrested in separate anti-illegal drug operations in Laguna on Saturday.
Laguna police director Senior Supt. Kirby John Kraft, in his report to Chief Supt. Edward Carranza, Calabarzon police director, said nine of the suspects were identified as Vincent Sarmiento, 37, of Pila, who was busted for a sachet of shabu; Raymart Ba-labat, 21, of Purok 7, Bgy. Santo Angel Central, Sta. Cruz (selling 3 sachets of shabu); Anna Germmane Chan, 30, of Monserat Subd., Bgy. Santo Angel Sur, Sta. Cruz (trading 4 sachets of shabu); Meriam Maribaw, 41, of Blk. 88, Lot 1, Ph. 1, Mabuhay City Subd., Bgy. Mamatid, Cabuyao City (selling 5 sachets of shabu); Ailyn Absin, 30, also of said place (selling a sachet and yielded 4 more sachets of shabu); Harold Marvin Manuel, 36, of Bgy. Oogong, Sta. Cruz (2 sachets); Jomar Ibañez, 18, of Catarungan St., Bgy. Commonwealth, Quezon City (who went to Sitio Almazora, Bgy. Canlalay for drug trade at 4:30 a.m.); Chaterine Vergara, of Carlton Residence, Bgy. Dita, Santa Rosa City (selling a sachet of shabu, and yielded 15 more sachets of shabu).
The Biñan City PNP seized more than P71,000 worth of shabu from suspect Jayrose Morante, 29, of Papaya St., Cangsos Compound, Bgy. San Antonio, Biñan City at 11:40 a.m.
Senior Supt. Kraft said the illegal drugs were placed in five sachets, approximately weighing 10.5 grams.
