2 nabbed for drugs, murder.
ANGELES CITY – A young woman was arrested for alleged drug pushing while a man wanted for murder fell into the hands of the police in separate operations in this city the other day.
In a report to city police director Col. Narvin Mangune, Maj. Rolando Doroja of station 4 identified the female suspect as Renalyn Mendador, 18, resident of Madapdap Resettlement Center in nearby Mabalacat City.
The suspect was arrested after allegedly selling shabu worth P500 to a poseur-buyer in Josefaville Subdivision in Barangay Malabanias here. Two more sachets of shabu were confiscated from her after the arrest.
The young woman is facing charges for violation of Republic Act 9165 for poseesion and selling of illegal drugs.
In Barangay Pulung Maragul, policemen arrested one Jefferson Lazo, 23, by virtue of a warrant issued by the Regional Trial Court Branch 60 here for murder with no bail recommended.
The suspect was initially brought to the police station 3 here and set to be transferred to the district jail in this city.
Meanwhile, a woman identified as Leah Nacpil, of legal age, resident of Barangay San Nicolas here, was murdered by motorcycle-riding assailants recently.
Police report said the victim was walking along the road around 9 p.m. when confronted by a man who eventually shot her at close range.
The victim died on the spot while the suspect rode a motorcycle and sped off towards Barangay Balibago.
