LUCENA CITY -- After recovering P5,300,000 worth of cocaine in the coastal town of Mauban, Quezon on Monday morning, another brick of the illegal substance was found along the shore of Bgy. Villamanzo Norte of the island town of Perez on Tuesday night.
Quezon police director, Senior Supt. Osmundo de Guzman said the recovered cocaine’s weight and amount are yet to be determined by the Quezon Provincial Crime Laboratory Office.
He said the substance wrapped in a packaging tape was found at 6:50 p.m. by one Raymond Divina,16 y/o, student of Perez National High School and resident of said village.
De Guzman said Divina found the brick while he was picking sea shells but ignored and left it due to its bad smell after he pierced a portion of it.
“But after learning of the news about the brick of cocaine earlier found in Mauban town that, he went back to the shore to get the brick and bring it to village chief William Banton who immediately informed the police.
