Armed man killed, 7 others fall in Bulacan anti-crime ops

SEPARATE anti-criminality operations conducted by the Bulacan police on Friday and Saturday resulted in the killing of an armed suspected man who yielded shabu in San Ildefonso municipality and the arrest of seven others, one of them still a minor, Bulacan Police Provincial Office director, Colonel Lawrence B. Cajipe said yesterday.

The official identified the slain suspect as Aaron Leonardo Kliatchko.

He said prior to the shooting incident, members of the San Ildefonso Municipal Police Station led by Major Russel Dennis Reburiano got a tip from a concerned citizen that the suspect parked his tricycle in front of a money remittance center in Barangay Malilimpang and tried to forcibly open its door.

Cajipe said officers rushed to the site and chased the suspect who escaped towards the direction of nearby Bgy. Maasim where he reportedly fired shots at the lawman prompting them to retaliate.

The suspect who was killed on the spot yielded a  caliber .38 revolver with two live ammunition and several spent casings and a bag containing two live .38 bullets and a heat-sealed plastic sachet containing suspectd shabu.

Cajipe said the other suspects were arrested in Guiguinto town and the cities of Meycauayan and San Jose del Monte. He identified six of them as Rolando Pangan Jr.,38; Joseph Partido,21; Angelica Abacan,47; Emma Ramirez,43; Ernesto Ramirez,47; Manuel Ramirez,9; and a 16-year old male.

Recovered from the suspects were 39 plastic sachets containing the so-called ‘poor man’s cocaine,’ two plastic packets with dried marijuana leaves and the marked money paid to them by undercover officers.
