Baguio City records new death, 2 COVID-19 cases

BAGUIO City recorded new death and 2 more COVID-19 cases on Thursday,city mayor Benjamin Magalong said.

Magalong said the patients are a 28-year- old policeman deployed in La Trinidad, Benguet and resident of Poliwes barangay; a 30-year old female service crew from Marville, Irisan; and a 54-year old female from Lopez Jaena who was declared dead on arrival at the Baguio General Hospital and Medical Center.

The City Health Services Office said the latter was hypertensive and complained of chest pain before she was brought to the hospital. Because of her symptoms, she was swab tested as part of the hospital protocol and the result turned out positive on the said day.

As of Thursday the city confirmed COVID-19  cases: 6 active; 2 deceased; and 35 recovered.

Mayor Magalong said contact tracing, quarantine, disinfection and medical protocols have been implemented.
